Dirtipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso stated that the seizure of these assets was carried out as part of the investigation into the alleged criminal act of money laundering (TPPU) related to drug proceeds by Ko Erwin and his family.

“The total estimated value of all seized assets is Rp15,300,000,000,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi in his statement on Thursday (30/4/2026).

These assets were seized from Virda Virginia Pahlevi, the wife of Ko Erwin, and their two children, Hadi Sumarho Iskandar and Christina Aurelia. All three have been designated as suspects in the drug-related TPPU case.

Ko Erwin’s Family Charged as Suspects

Previously, Bareskrim emphasised that it would not only target drug traffickers with prison sentences but also focus on impoverishing them through money laundering charges (TPPU).

Brigadier General Eko affirmed that his team is currently tracking and seizing assets belonging to Ko Erwin’s network. This step is intended to provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators.

“The main focus of drug handling now is more on TPPU. It’s not just about uncovering the original crime; it’s developed further to impoverish drug trafficking perpetrators,” said Eko to reporters at Bareskrim Polri, South Jakarta, on Friday (24/4).

As is known, Ko Erwin is a major drug lord in NTB. He was arrested while attempting to flee to Malaysia on Thursday, 26 February 2026, specifically in the waters of Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra.

The Ko Erwin case also implicated former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didit Putra Kuncoro and former Bima City Police Narcotics Unit Head AKP Malaungi.

After arresting Ko Erwin, Bareskrim also apprehended several suspects in his network. One of them is Andre alias The Doctor, who supplied methamphetamine to Ko Erwin.
