President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the laying of the first stone for 13 strategic national downstream projects. These dozen downstream projects are part of phase 2 initiatives spearheaded by the government through BPI Danantara.

According to detikFinance, Prabowo claimed that the groundbreaking of these downstream projects is highly commendable. The investment value poured into the 13 projects reaches Rp 116 trillion, covering energy, minerals and mining, as well as agriculture projects.

“In my opinion, this is quite historic and very commendable, namely the groundbreaking of the second phase of downstreaming, which includes 13 strategic downstream projects worth approximately Rp 116 trillion, comprising five projects in the energy sector, five projects in the minerals sector, and three projects in the agriculture sector,” said Prabowo during the inauguration of the 13 downstream projects in Cilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Prabowo stated that downstreaming is the path to the revival of the Indonesian nation. He said that downstream projects are not instantaneous because their foundations have been cultivated by previous presidents.
