List of Crimes by KKB Battalion Commander Homi Heluka Successfully Captured by Damai Cartenz Task Force
Jakarta — The head of Operation Damai Cartenz (ODC), Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, announced that the ODC Task Force had arrested a member of the armed criminal group (KKB), Homi Heluka, in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua, on Friday 20 February 2026.
“Homi Heluka was arrested near the Yahukimo regional parliament (DPRD) office in Dekai, at approximately 11.00 Eastern Indonesia Time,” said Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani in Jayapura on Friday 20 February 2026.
He stated that KKB member Homi Heluka, who held the position of Yamue Battalion Commander, was involved in nine shooting and attack incidents against civilians and security personnel. These included the shooting of a Brimob officer from the ODC-2022 Preventive Task Force, which killed First Constable Gilang Aji Prasetya and wounded Corporal Fazuarsah at Kilometre 8 Logpon.
Further incidents attributed to Heluka include the burning of a Community Guidance Unit vehicle on Jalan Paradiso on 28 January 2025, and a massacre at a gold panning site on 7 April 2025 that killed 17 panners, as well as the fatal shooting of Sergeant First Class Segar Mulyana of the Yahukimo Military District Command 1715.
Heluka was also implicated in the assault and murder of a timber worker in Samboga Village on 16 June 2025, which left Edi Supirman injured and Udin dead.
On 17 June 2025, Homi Heluka was involved in the severe assault of Ujang Supriyatna in Seradala. He was further linked to the theft and burning of a Panther-brand vehicle at the Old Local Government Housing Complex on 31 January 2026, as well as the murder of construction worker Daniel Datti and the destruction of the Yapesli Senior High School building on 2 February, and the shooting of driver Suwono on 12 February 2026.
Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani added that, in addition to arresting Homi Heluka, the ODC Task Force also apprehended Simak Kipka at a separate location. Kipka was reported to have been involved in the burning of a vehicle belonging to the head of Yalmabi Village, Bomela District, Yahukimo Regency, on 18 February at the Kali Kuk bridge.
“It has not yet been confirmed whether Simak Kipka is involved with the KKB or not, as the investigation is still ongoing,” said the former deputy chief of the Papua Regional Police.
