List of 5 Suspects in MBG Case, Latest: Electric Motorcycle Supplier Boss
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named five suspects in a corruption case concerning the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for 2025-2026. The suspects include former senior officials of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and a commissioner of a company that supplied electric motorcycles to the agency.
Kejagung initially named three suspects: former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana and former Deputy Heads Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. The investigation was launched based on an investigation warrant dated 29 May 2026. “The investigation into the alleged corruption in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal or MBG programme at the National Nutrition Agency for 2025-2026,” said Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, during a press conference at the Kejagung office in South Jakarta on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
Subsequently, on Thursday (11/6) and Friday (12/6), Kejagung announced two additional suspects: private party Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS) and Andri Mulyono (AM), the Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (PT YAT), the provider of Emmo electric motorcycles purchased by BGN.

Kejagung suspects irregularities in the MBG programme’s governance, including alleged affiliations between the suspects and the foundations managing the School Nutrition Service Units (SPPG), as well as suspected price mark-ups in the procurement of electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets, and televisions.
Director of Investigation Syarief Sulaeman explained that the MBG programme was supposed to be managed by foundations at each school. However, the appointed foundations were allegedly affiliated with Dadan and his associates and used as vehicles for criminal activity. “The programme should have been managed by foundations at each school, but in reality, the foundations appointed as SPPG partners were used as a means for crime and were affiliated with BGN officials or employees who did not meet the requirements to be SPPG partners,” Syarief stated.
He added that Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk allegedly manipulated the verification process for establishing SPPGs, ensuring that affiliated foundations were appointed through intervention in the BGN partner portal. These foundations subsequently received billions of rupiah in incentives daily.
Furthermore, the three suspects allegedly intervened with commitment-making officials (PPK), leading to suspected price mark-ups in the procurement of goods and services. The procurement items were deemed not to support the operational implementation of the MBG programme. “In carrying out the procurement of goods and services at BGN unlawfully, they drafted the terms of reference (KAK) not according to real field needs and marked up procurement prices, causing losses that did not support the MBG operational implementation,” Syarief said.
Kejagung revealed several procurements that were marked up, including 21,801 units of electric motorcycles with a total procurement value of approximately Rp 1 trillion. Other items included 32,000 pairs of shoes and 31,000 tablets procured outside regulations and with mark-ups, as well as 5,400 units of 75-inch televisions procured outside regulations and with mark-ups.
Regarding the role of suspect Asep Yusuf Somantri, Kejagung disclosed that he is a private party who was asked by suspect Sony Sonjaya to find partners for the implementation of the MBG programme. Sony allegedly provided AYS with unlawful access to intervene with the partner verification team, allowing him to identify vacant kitchen locations and manipulate the status of prospective SPPGs that had already been approved on the BGN partner portal, resulting in their registration being cancelled.
