List of 4 New Transjabodetabek Routes Proposed by Depok City Government to Jakarta

Depok City Government has proposed four new Transjabodetabek routes to the DKI Provincial Government to expand public transport options for residents heading to Jakarta. The proposal also includes extending the D21 Transjabodetabek route to Jatijajar Terminal. Head of the Passenger Transport Section in the Depok Transportation Agency, Mathaeous Ericson Siahaan, stated that the proposal has been submitted to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. “Yes, we have submitted four new routes and one Transjabodetabek rerouting,” Ericson said when contacted on Thursday (7/5/2026). According to Ericson, the submission of new corridors is intended to meet the community’s needs for more integrated public transport that can reach more areas in Depok. If approved, these routes are expected to facilitate the mobility of residents who commute daily to Jakarta, while reducing the use of private vehicles and traffic congestion. In the latest proposal, the D21 departure point is requested to be extended to Jatijajar Terminal via Ir H Juanda Street and Raya Bogor Street. “The agglomeration corridor proposal with the extension of the D21 route, which previously departed from UI, is now extended to Jatijajar Terminal to Lebak Bulus via Ir H Juanda and Raya Bogor,” Ericson said. The proposal is seen as able to expand access for residents in northern and eastern Depok to integrated public transport to Jakarta. Route expansion is carried out to improve cross-regional public transport connectivity between Depok and Jakarta. Head of the Transportation Division of the Depok Transportation Agency, Aan Syurahman, said that the initial departure point, previously at Cipedak, is now moved under the Tanah Baru Monument flyover. “This change is made to facilitate residents’ mobility, especially those heading towards Pasar Minggu,” Aan said on Monday (13/4/2026), quoted from the official Depok City Government website.
