List of 21 Regional Police Chiefs and Deputies Mutated Following Suyudi's Appointment as National Police Chief
The change in the top leadership of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has been accompanied by a reshuffle of several Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) positions. Following General Pol. Suyudi Ario Seto officially taking command of the Bhayangkara Corps, leadership seats in various regional police departments have shifted.
One of the most prominent changes occurred at the Metro Jaya Regional Police. Inspector General Pol. Asep Edi Suheri, who previously served as the Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, has now been appointed as the Inspector General of Internal Affairs (Irwasum) of the National Police.
The position of Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief is subsequently filled by Inspector General Pol. Dadang Hartanto, who previously served as the Maluku Regional Police Chief. The Maluku Regional Police Chief position has then been entrusted to Inspector General Pol. Suwasting Suwondo Nainggolan.
The mutation is detailed in Telegram Letter (ST) Number: 2205/XKEP./2026, dated 2 October 2026. This job rotation is based on the National Police Chief’s Decision Number: Kep/1532/X/2026 regarding Dismissal from and Appointment to Positions within the National Police environment.
“In reference to the above, it is hereby notified to the following Senior and Middle Ranking Officers of the National Police that they are relieved of their old positions/mutated to new positions,” the telegram stated on Saturday (3/10/26).
In addition to Metro Jaya, several other regions have also undergone leadership changes. The complete list is as follows:
Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Dadang Hartanto, replacing Inspector General Pol. Asep Edi Suheri, who has been appointed as Inspector General of Internal Affairs (Irwasum) Polri;
Maluku Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Suwondo Nainggolan, replacing Inspector General Pol. Dadang Hartanto;
Riau Islands Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Suhendri, previously Chief Bomb Technician Level 1 Korbrimob Polri, replacing Inspector General Pol. Asep Safrudin;
Riau Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Arman Achdiat, previously Officer of Baintelkam Polri, replacing Inspector General Pol. Hery Herjawan;
East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Reza Arief Dewanto, previously Deputy Chief of Korbrimob Polri, replacing Inspector General Pol. Rudi Darmoko;
West Java Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Hengki, previously Banten Regional Police Chief, replacing Inspector General Pol. Pipit Rismanto;
Banten Regional Police Chief – Brigadier General Pol. Hendra Kurniawan, previously Instructor at Sespim Lemdiklat Polri, replacing Inspector General Pol. Hengki;
Central Java Regional Police Chief – Brigadier General Pol. Roy Hadi Siahaan, replacing Inspector General Pol. Ribut Hari Wibowo;
East Java Regional Police Chief – Inspector General Pol. Dekananto Eko Purwono, previously Deputy Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, replacing Inspector General Pol. Nanang Avianto.
