List of 18 Indonesian Stocks Removed from MSCI Index
Eighteen Indonesian stocks have been removed from the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) indices. According to the MSCI rebalancing results announcement on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, six stocks were removed from the Global Standard Index.
One of those six stocks, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) or Alfamart, has been included in the Global Small Cap Index. Meanwhile, 13 stocks were removed from the Global Small Cap Index. These adjustments will take effect after the close of trading on 29 May 2026.
Acting Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Jeffrey Hendrik, stated that the adjustments are a short-term consequence of reform efforts undertaken by the Self Regulatory Organisation (SRO) and capital market regulators. “We are optimistic that in the long term, it will have a positive impact,” he said when contacted on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.
