List of 15 Indonesia-India Cooperation Agreements
The meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India has resulted in 16 agreements. During the meeting held on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between Indonesia and India were signed.
“We are confident that these agreements can be implemented immediately to provide real results and benefits for the people of both nations,” said President Prablamo during a joint press statement with Modi.
One of the cooperation documents presented before Prabowo and Modi was an agreement between the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Indian Space Research Organisation. This agreement encompasses cooperation in the field of space research.
Indonesia and India also announced 15 other documents covering cooperation in several strategic sectors, ranging from defence, energy, health, and culture to technology. The list is as follows:
Protocol Extension of the Memorandum of Understanding on Maritime Safety and Security Cooperation;
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Disaster Management;
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Minerals and Technologies for the Steel Supply Chain;
Implementing Arrangement (IA) on Health Workforce Collaboration;
Letter of Intent for the Conservation and Restoration of the Prambanan Temple Complex, Indonesia;
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Telecommunications Technologies and Services;
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Medical Products Regulation;
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Agriculture;
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Management and Technology Utilisation in Elections;
Memorandum of Understanding on Research, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation;
Contract Signing for the BrahMos Missile Defence System between BrahMos and the Ministry of Defence;
Air-to-Air Missile Cooperation Agreement between Bharat Dynamics and Republikorp;
Memorandum of Understanding between Non-Ferrous Materials Technology Development Centre (NFTDC), Midwest Ltds., and PT. Perusahaan Mineral Nasional (PERMINAS);
Strategic Joint Venture between Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and PT. Krakatau Steel; and
Memorandum of Understanding between the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and PT. Intelegensi Grahatama.
