List of 15 Functional Rest Areas During 2026 Eid Holiday Travel Season

JAKARTA - The Government has prepared 15 Rest and Service Facilities (Rest Areas) across multiple toll road sections to support the smooth flow of traffic during the 2026 Eid holiday travel season (Eid al-Fitr 1447 H).

The rest areas have been prepared by the Ministry of Public Works through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) and toll road operators (BUJT).

These functional rest areas are expected to enhance passenger comfort whilst supporting the operation of 10 functional toll road sections prepared during the travel season.

Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo stated that the Government is continuing to accelerate the completion of construction on several toll road infrastructure projects and their supporting facilities so they can be utilised in a limited capacity during the travel season.

The functional rest areas will be equipped with basic facilities including parking areas, modular petrol stations, prayer rooms, toilets, and UMKM (small and medium enterprise) outlets. Several locations will also feature additional facilities such as workshops, health posts, nursing rooms, and ATM centres.

Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Head Wilan Oktavian stated that the operation of the functional rest areas will be conducted situationally, following traffic conditions during the travel season.

All facilities have been prepared to support the smooth passage of travellers whilst reducing potential congestion on major toll road sections during the 2026 Eid holiday travel season.
