List of 13 World Figures Targeted for Revenge by Iran

A media outlet affiliated with the Iranian government, Hamshahri, has published a list of 13 world figures it claims are targets for revenge after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The list emerged amid escalating conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel. In an infographic post, Hamshahri displayed 13 political leaders and senior officials from the United States, Israel, and several European countries, stating they must be held responsible for Khamenei’s death. The publication followed a maiden speech by Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, who asserted that avenging his father’s death is a demand of the Iranian nation. However, there has been no official statement from the Iranian government endorsing the list as state policy. The individuals named are: 1. Donald Trump (President of the United States), 2. Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister of Israel), 3. Israel Katz (Israeli Minister of Defence), 4. Pete Hegseth (US Secretary of Defence), 5. Marco Rubio (US Secretary of State), 6. Emmanuel Macron (President of France), 7. Keir Starmer (Prime Minister of the United Kingdom), 8. Friedrich Merz (Chancellor of Germany), 9. Giorgia Meloni (Prime Minister of Italy), 10. Friedrich Merz (Chancellor of Germany), 11. Mike Huckabee (US Ambassador to Israel), 12. Brad Cooper (Commander of CENTCOM), and 13. Gideon Sa’ar (Israeli Foreign Minister). The infographic depicted the figures wearing orange prison uniforms. Some, including Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, were also shown with crosshair symbols on their heads, accompanied by a message asserting that revenge will be carried out. Despite attracting global attention, several observers assess the list as a form of political propaganda from a media outlet affiliated with the Tehran city government. To date, official Iranian authorities have not issued any document or statement establishing the list as official state policy. The death of Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israeli attack has triggered a new escalation in the Middle East. In his first speech as Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei stressed that revenge for his father’s death would be part of Iran’s struggle, without directly naming any individual targets.
