Lisa wins silver in Asian c'ships

JAKARTA (JP): Young Indonesian weightlifter Raema Lisa Rumbewas won a silver medal in the 53-kilogram division of the 14th Asian Senior Women's weightlifting championships in the southern South Korean city of Chonju on Saturday.

Lisa lifted a total of 192.5 kg, comprising 85 kg in snatch, 107.5 kg in clean and jerk in her new weight division. The gold medal went to Qiu Hongxia of China with a total lift of 205 kg, being 87.5 kg in snatch and 117.5 kg in clean and jerk.

Indian Devi Nandini grabbed the bronze medal with a total lift of 185 kg comprising 85 kg in snatch and 100 kg in clean and jerk.

Lisa is a 2000 Olympic Games silver medalist, in the 48 kg division. (ivy)
