Lips Nearly Gone, Head Festering: The Horrors Endured by a 3-Year Confinement Victim in Bandung

The alleged case of confinement and abuse by a perpetrator with the initials TH against a woman from Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, West Java, continues to grip public attention. After disappearing without a trace for three years, the victim, identified by the initials YTR, was finally found in a deeply distressing condition.

Beyond psychological trauma, the victim’s physical condition reportedly suffered extensive damage due to the alleged prolonged torture. According to the victim’s younger brother, Syahrul Ulum, various serious injuries were found on her body, including an infected eye, a festering head, and burn and slash marks on several parts of her body. The condition has shocked and saddened many, especially as the family had no knowledge of her whereabouts and could not communicate with her for three years.

One of the most concerning conditions is the damage to the victim’s eyes. Her brother stated that her eyesight has suffered serious impairment. ‘Her right eye is infected, and her left eye has shrunk,’ he revealed. The family even suspects the victim has gone blind in one eye due to injuries sustained over the years. ‘The back of the eye is also blind. Perhaps her eye can no longer see,’ he continued.

Not only her eyes, but the victim’s face also suffered quite severe injuries. The family mentioned damage to the mouth and facial area, which drastically changed her appearance. After receiving medical treatment, some of the facial wounds have been cleaned, allowing her facial features to slowly become visible again. ‘Now her face is somewhat cleaner, it has been cleaned. So the parts of her face are visible now,’ he said.

Serious injuries were also found on the victim’s head. The family disclosed that she even had to undergo surgery to clean the severe wounds. ‘Alhamdulillah, she has undergone surgery on her head. Her head has been cleaned,’ her brother stated. According to the family, the victim’s head was previously covered in wounds and infection requiring immediate medical attention.
