Lippo to build shopping mall

JAKARTA: Publicly listed property firm PT Lippo Karawaci
announced on Thursday plans to build a shopping and recreational
center in Malang, East Java.

The firm said in a statement that the four-story, 47,500-
square-meter Malang Town Square (Matos) would be built on 18,000
square meters of land on Jl. Veteran, with a total of about 791
stores. It is scheduled to open mid-July next year.

Tenants of the facilities include Matahari department store,
Time Zone game house, National bookstore, Cinema 21 cineplex and
a hypermart retailer, as well as a number of modern food courts
and cafes. -- JP
