Lippo Group Donates 30.7 Hectares of Land for 3 Million Homes Programme
Lippo Group has handed over 30.7 hectares of land to support the 3 million homes programme, a flagship initiative of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration. The land donation was symbolically presented by Lippo Group Founder Mochtar Riady to the Minister of Housing and Settlement Maruarar Sirait.
The area will be developed into vertical residential housing in the form of apartments for low-income households. “Approximately 140,000 units can be built on 30 hectares,” said Maruarar during the handover ceremony in Cikarang Selatan, Bekasi Regency, on Sunday, 8 March 2026.
The donated land falls within the Meikarta business and residential complex managed by Lippo Group. The area is currently undeveloped land and today’s ceremony symbolises the commencement of the development project.
Maruarar stated that the low-cost apartments will be built with 32 storeys. The housing location is considered reasonably accessible to schools and hospitals. “The area is also not too far from industrial zones,” he noted.
However, Maruarar has not yet confirmed the unit price for these apartments. The pricing will be announced once the project is completed, at a level deemed appropriate for low-income households.
The apartment development is funded by the Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara) investment management body. Danantara Chief Executive Officer Rosan Perkasa Roeslani stated that there will be 18 towers on approximately 12.8 hectares of land. Each tower will comprise 32 storeys along with various public facilities.
“If this project proceeds with 32 storeys, the construction value will be approximately between Rp14 to 16 trillion,” said Rosan at the same event.
