Lippo General Insurance posts Rp2.32 trillion revenue in first half
PT Lippo General Insurance Tbk (LPGI) booked revenue growth of 33.9 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp2.32 trillion in the first half of 2026, compared with Rp1.73 trillion in the same period last year.
Alongside this, the company’s pre-tax profit was recorded at Rp130.5 billion in the first half of 2026, up 10.2 percent (yoy) compared with Rp118.5 billion in the same period the previous year.
“We have been able to continue the record performance achieved in 2025 into 2026, despite facing a challenging operating environment,” said LPGI President Director Agus Benjamin in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
With the support of Hanwha General Insurance, Agus said that disciplined underwriting and strong financial reporting have left the company optimistic about posting record performances again in the coming years.
As of the first half of 2026, the company’s equity was recorded at Rp1.12 trillion, up from Rp987 billion in the same period last year.
Agus explained that the company strengthened its global position through the renewal of its financial strength rating from AM Best to A– (Excellent) on 19 August 2026.
The rating affirms the strength of the company’s financial statements, disciplined risk management, and its ability to meet obligations to policyholders on a sustainable basis.
Meanwhile, 2026 marks the first year the company has been under the majority ownership of Hanwha General Insurance.
The company joined Hanwha Group through Hanwha Life Indonesia in 2023, before majority ownership was subsequently transferred to Hanwha General Insurance to maximise synergies in the group’s general insurance business.
“Going forward, the company will continue to focus on profitable growth, digital transformation, and customer-oriented innovation. LPGI will also leverage Hanwha’s global expertise to become one of the leading general insurance companies in Indonesia,” said Agus.
