LIPI-L'Oreal team up to promote science

JAKARTA: To get teenage girls more involved in science, a beauty product producer and the Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) have created a science camp, which runs until June 21.

L'Oreal Indonesia and LIPI's L'Oreal Girls Science Camp 2005 involves junior high school students from the Greater Jakarta area, who will create science projects based on the theme: "The use of Indonesian natural resources to deal with daily problems."

Along with cash prizes, winners will be given a chance to work as interns at LIPI's Cibinong Science Center, the Eijkman Institute in Bandung, or at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB). -- JP
