Lion Parcel Officially Launches in Malaysia - BCA Sekuritas

Lion Parcel, a leading logistics service provider from Indonesia, officially opened its first international office in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, on 22 September 2026. This move marks the company’s initial milestone in global expansion while strengthening logistics connectivity between Indonesia, Malaysia, and international markets.

Malaysia was selected as the first market due to its strategic position as a regional hub, particularly with Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) continuing to develop as a centre for air cargo and transshipment.

“Malaysia represents an important first step in Lion Parcel’s international journey. We see a significant opportunity to optimise the Lion Group ecosystem, specifically through the air connectivity of Batik Air Malaysia,” said the Chief Executive Officer of Lion Parcel, Farian Kirana, in a statement on Tuesday.

According to Farian, the cargo infrastructure supported by the Cargo Terminal Operator (CTO) owned by Batik Air Malaysia will support more efficient operations, ensuring that parcel deliveries can be faster and more secure.

“With that foundation, we want to provide better logistics connectivity access for business and community needs, enabling them to reach broader opportunities. Lion Parcel is present not only as a logistics service provider but also as an enabler,” he added.

Similarly, the Country Head of Lion Parcel Malaysia, Alvin Williams, noted that Malaysia is not only an important market but also a strategic location within the regional logistics landscape.

“KLIA continues to develop its position as a regional hub for air cargo. For us, this creates opportunities to connect logistics services with a wider air cargo network and support the movement of goods between Malaysia, Indonesia, and other international markets,” said Alvin.
