Jakarta (ANTARA) - Lion Parcel (PT Lion Express), an Indonesian logistics services company, and AstraPay are strengthening the digitalisation of logistics agent transactions through the implementation of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) to improve service efficiency and expand financial inclusion.

“We have formed a strategic partnership with AstraPay to accelerate the digitalisation of transactions in our agent partner network through the implementation of QRIS payments,” said Chief Retail Officer of Lion Parcel, Febri Andika, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He explained that the collaboration not only introduces alternative digital payment methods but also focuses on operational transformation at the agent level as the frontline of logistics services.

According to him, the initiative aligns with government efforts to promote the adoption of digital transactions in the UMKM sector as a pillar of the national economy.

“As part of this partnership, Lion Parcel and AstraPay are also introducing various initiatives to enhance education and penetration of digital transactions,” he stated.

He mentioned that one form of the partnership is the “Agen Lion Parcel Jagoan AstraPay” programme, a performance-based appreciation initiative running for six months to encourage Lion Parcel agent partners to increase the use of digital transactions in their daily dealings with customers.

“This programme has reached hundreds of Lion Parcel agent partners across various regions in Indonesia, with 36 top agents receiving appreciation to support their business development,” he added.

He explained that the collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen the digital services ecosystem in the agent network by providing digital payments while encouraging transactional behaviour transformation to improve efficiency and service quality.

AstraPay’s QRIS enables faster, secure, and integrated payment processes, helping agent partners enhance operational efficiency while providing a better service experience for customers.

With its implementation, added Febri, the performance of participating agent partners shows a positive trend.

There has been an increase in transaction activity and customer numbers, impacting revenue growth for agent partners by more than 10 per cent.

“This achievement demonstrates that integrating logistics services with digital payment systems can have a direct impact on the business growth of agent partners. Moving forward, we will continue to develop this collaboration to expand benefits for the ecosystem,” said Febri.

In addition to providing payment solutions, the partnership also offers educational sessions for Lion Parcel agent partners covering business development and digital-based service optimisation.

This approach aims to ensure that agent partners not only adopt technology but also optimise it for business growth.

Meanwhile, Chief Marketing Officer of AstraPay, Reny Futsy Yama, stated that the partnership is part of their efforts to expand QRIS usage in the real sector while strengthening financial and digital literacy for UMKM in Indonesia.

Supported by Astra’s extensive ecosystem reaching various industrial sectors, said Reny, AstraPay has collaborative strengths that enable accelerated adoption of digital transactions across various levels of business actors in Indonesia.

“This allows AstraPay not only to provide easy-to-use payment solutions but also ones that are relevant to the needs of business actors of various scales and regions,” explained Reny.

According to her, the collaboration with Lion Parcel enables them to reach a widespread agent network across Indonesia, thereby promoting financial inclusion while accelerating digital transaction adoption at the UMKM level.

She added that they are committed to providing ongoing education and digital financial literacy to UMKM in various regions so that business actors are not only able to transact digitally but are also increasingly prepared to manage their businesses more adaptively, efficiently, and sustainably in the digital economy era.
