Link and Registration Requirements for Free Mudik in Bandung Barat, Online Registration Available via Mobile Phone

Bandung Barat Regency, West Java — Online registration for the free mudik for residents of Bandung Barat Regency (KBB) opened on Thursday, 5 March 2026. The programme is a facility provided to enable residents to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH with their families in their hometowns safely and comfortably.

Registration for the free mudik, spearheaded by the Bandung Barat Department of Transportation, is conducted online via https://mudik-gratis.banduntbaratkab.go.id/. For this year’s Eid mudik programme, the local government of Bandung Barat has allocated only 150 seats.

‘The registration for free mudik is now open; the public can register online via the link we have provided. So you can register via your mobile phone. The quota is 150 people,’ said Mochammad Ridwan Evi, head of the Bandung Barat Department of Transportation, when contacted.

Residents who register online must provide a number of requirements such as the Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP) confirming residency in Bandung Barat, a domicile letter from the local desa for residents who have recently moved to Bandung Barat, and the KTP again. The registrants will subsequently receive a message via WhatsApp.

For residents who have received the message and are registered in this free mudik programme, Ridwan said they are asked to re-register offline. Officials will then carry out re-validation of the mudik travellers who have registered.

‘If there are many registrants, we will validate and assess. The economy will certainly be a consideration, and what’s certain is they must be Bandung Barat residents,’ Ridwan Evi said.
