Limited Reshuffle: Labour Leader Receives News That Jumhur Hidayat Will Join Cabinet

President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate several officials today. One name in the running for the limited reshuffle is labour activist Jumhur Hidayat.

KSPSI President Andi Gani confirmed the news that Jumhur is one of those to be inaugurated today, though he does not yet know the position he will fill. He revealed that Jumhur was summoned to the Palace last week.

“Yes, he was called to the Palace last week,” Andi said when contacted on Monday (27/4/2026).

Andi considers the presence of a labour representative in the cabinet to be an honour. He hopes that Jumhur will not abandon the ideology fought for by workers when he enters the cabinet.

“This is an honour for Indonesia’s labour movement, hoping that workers’ idealism is not abandoned,” he stated.

Based on information gathered by detikcom, the inauguration will be held at the Palace in Jakarta this afternoon. Sources indicate that several agency heads will be inaugurated to replace previous officials.

The position to be reshuffled is the Head of the Office of the Presidential Staff (KSP). Currently, the KSP position is held by M Qodari, who is reported to receive a new assignment.

Sources also mentioned that there will be inaugurations and replacements of other agency heads today, one of which is Bakom RI. In addition, there will also be the inauguration of the President’s Special Envoy.
