Liliek Prisbawono's Debut as Constitutional Court Judge, Participates in Advisory in PPHI Law Lawsuit
JAKARTA - Constitutional Court Judge Liliek Prisbawono Adi underwent his debut as a constitutional judge in a hearing held on Monday (13/4/2026). He became a member of the panel led by Constitutional Court Judge Enny Nurbaningsih, alongside Constitutional Court Judge Arsul Sani. The first case he handled was number 125/PUU-XXIV/2026, concerning the judicial review of Law No. 2 of 2004 on the Settlement of Industrial Relations Disputes (PPHI). In the preliminary examination agenda hearing, Liliek provided advice to the petitioner regarding the constitutional harm experienced due to the maximum 30 working days for mediation in industrial relations dispute cases. He stated that the lawsuit filed by Muhamad Khaetami lacked specificity in explaining the harm suffered related to the implementation of the PPHI Law, particularly regarding the 30-working-day mediation period for a case. He also questioned the petition, which he deemed inconsistent between points two and three. For information, Liliek officially replaced Constitutional Court Judge Anwar Usman in his debut hearing. Anwar Usman is known to have entered his 15th year as a constitutional judge, so he had to relinquish his position before turning 70 years old. Liliek Prisbawono Adi is a judge born in Bojonegoro, East Java, on 27 October 1966. He has served as a High Court Judge at the Medan High Court since 19 April 2024. Before becoming a High Court Judge at the Medan High Court, Liliek Prisbawono Adi was the Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court since 24 February 2022. He has also held several important positions, including Chief Judge of the Balikpapan District Court in East Kalimantan and Deputy Chief Judge of the South Jakarta District Court.
