Liliek Prisbawono ready to safeguard the constitution with integrity

Constitutional Court Justice Liliek Prisbawono Adi stated that his new position is a significant trust to safeguard the constitution with the highest integrity. “I seek prayers to enhance my integrity and capacity as a Constitutional Court Justice and to fulfil my responsibility in safeguarding the constitution in the Republic of Indonesia,” said Liliek at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday. Regarding future tasks, Liliek mentioned that no specific assignments have been given to him. He affirmed that his current position is to continue the duties previously held by Constitutional Court Justice Anwar Usman. On the vision he will bring to the Constitutional Court, Liliek stressed the importance of safeguarding the constitution with a spirit of statesmanship. Liliek Prisbawono Adi was officially inaugurated as a Constitutional Court Justice to replace Prof. Dr. Anwar Usman, who has completed his 15-year term at the Constitutional Court (MK). The appointment of Liliek Prisbawono Adi as a Constitutional Court Justice is based on Presidential Decree No. 36P of 2026 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Constitutional Court Justices, proposed by the Supreme Court (MA).
