Lhokseumawe Customs Destroys 22 Million Illegal Cigarettes Worth IDR 43 Billion Using Eco-Friendly Method

The Lhokseumawe Customs and Excise Office, together with the Aceh Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), destroyed 22,281,640 illicit cigarettes of various brands with an estimated value of IDR 43.02 billion. The destruction took place on Wednesday (1/7) using a waste processing machine at the Alue Lim landfill in Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City. This method was chosen to prevent air pollution and to support the environmental management programme of the Lhokseumawe City Government.
