Lhokseumawe City Government Begins Repair Phase for Disaster-Damaged Shrimp Ponds

A total of 348.2 hectares of shrimp and fish ponds belonging to 82 farmer groups in four districts of Lhokseumawe City were severely damaged by floods in November 2025. In response, the local government is validating the data and has reached an agreement with the community to promptly deploy heavy equipment so that repairs to the pond channels can be carried out. The City Government also received support from the Provincial Government in the form of rehabilitation of community ponds, as well as seed stock and shrimp feed.
