Letter Allegedly From Tanjung Priok Police Resort Asking Employers for THR, Police Probe

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Polda Metro Jaya is investigating a circular letter requesting assistance for the Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR) Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah that purportedly bears the name of the Tanjung Priok Police Resort to companies. The letter has been contradicted by the Tanjung Priok Police Resort. ‘It is being investigated because the Tanjung Priok Police Resort never sent such a document,’ said the Public Relations Head of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto in Jakarta, Thursday (5/3/2026). The Tanjung Priok Port Police Resort, North Jakarta, denied sending a letter requesting THR for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah to the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) via a photo circulating widely on several social media platforms. ‘The Tanjung Priok Port Police Resort never issued that letter,’ said the Port Police Chief AKBP Aris Wibowo in Jakarta, Thursday. He said the Tanjung Priok Port Police Resort had already coordinated with Aptrindo’s management and they had issued a clarification letter related to the issue. ‘For this incident we will investigate the party that used the name of the Tanjung Priok Port Police Resort,’ he said.
