I would like to comment on the idea of Golkar giving its surplus votes to PDI.

My office colleagues and I voted for Golkar in the general election because we are convinced that Golkar will be able to channel our aspirations, such as the realization of a just and prosperous society. It will be very disappointing if Golkar gives its surplus votes to PDI, which means that Golkar is disrespecting the people's confidence.

It is clear that people's confidence in PDI is diminishing given its poor election results. Golkar should not pretend to be a benefactor and give away its surplus votes to another party. It must be understood that the votes do not belong to Golkar but to the voters, and therefore Golkar cannot throw them away as it pleases.

We object the idea.
