Lepetelo retains IBF title

JOHANNESBURG (AFP): South Africa's Zolani Lepetelo outpointed
Faisol Akbar of Indonesia over 12 rounds to retain his IBF
strawweight crown at the Carousel entertainment complex here.

Lepetelo, making his first defense, won by scores of 118-110
and 115-113 against a 113-115 on a split decision.

The South African southpaw, who won the title from Thailand's
Ratanapol Sor Vorapin in December, improved his record to 12
wins, two defeats and two draws.
