JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Chinese automaker Lepas is continuing to expand its sales network to strengthen its presence in the national automotive market. One of the steps taken is to add the number of Lepas dealers in various major cities through 2026.

President Director of Chery Group Indonesia, Zheng Shuo, stated that the company targets building dozens of Lepas dealers by the end of 2026.

“By the end of 2026, our target is to build 40 Lepas dealers. In May this year, around 15 dealers might be completed,” said Zheng Shuo, when met by Kompas.com in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

This network expansion is part of the strategy to increase sales while strengthening services to consumers in various regions.

In addition to focusing on network development, Lepas also targets sales contributions from each dealer. Zheng Shuo mentioned that each outlet is expected to be able to sell dozens of vehicles per month.

“For sales, we promise that each dealer can sell 30 units per month or 40 units per month,” he said.

“(For the sales target) We must have a total volume for this year. Because we are still developing and preparing,” said Zheng Shuo.

With the network expansion strategy and increased sales capacity, Chery is optimistic about strengthening its position in Indonesia’s increasingly competitive automotive market.
