The Lepas E4 EV, one of the electric vehicles showcased at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, offers a claimed range of more than 600 kilometres on a single charge based on CLTC standards, with a price in the Rp300 million range. Temmy Wiradjaja, Vice Country Director of Lepas Indonesia, stated on Thursday in Tangerang that safety aspects were a key focus in the development of the E4 EV to deliver a more confident driving experience. The car is equipped with six airbags and battery protection meeting IP68/IPX9K standards. “Safety is an important part of the Lepas E4 EV driving experience. Through comprehensive safety technology, the E4 EV provides the support and protection users need to undertake every journey with greater peace of mind and confidence,” Temmy said. To support daily mobility, the Lepas E4 EV uses a 67 kWh battery that is claimed to be capable of travelling more than 600 kilometres (CLTC), a range capability rarely found in cars within the Rp300 million price bracket. This capacity is designed to provide flexibility for users, both for inner-city and inter-city travel, without the need for frequent recharging. In terms of active safety, the vehicle is equipped with 18 ADAS features that help increase driver awareness of surrounding traffic conditions. The car is also fitted with a 540-degree camera that provides a more comprehensive view when manoeuvring in parking areas or tight spaces. Other features include a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for real-time tyre pressure monitoring, an Electric Parking Brake (EPB), and six airbags as additional protection for the driver and passengers in the event of a collision. Lepas stated that the E4 EV was developed with reference to New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) safety standards. Battery protection is also a key focus of this model. The battery system has received IP68/IPX9K certification, providing protection against dust and water. The Lepas E4 EV also has a wading depth capability of up to 525 millimetres. Inside the cabin, the electric car is equipped with a PM0.3 Air Filter that functions to filter fine particles to help maintain air quality during journeys. The electric car is priced at Rp339 million during the exhibition.
