Lepas E4 Electric Car Set to Launch in June 2026

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Chinese automaker Lepas has confirmed that it will soon bring its first electric car to the Indonesian market in the middle of this year. President Director of Chery Group Indonesia, Zheng Shuo, stated that the model is the Lepas E4, scheduled for launch in June 2026. “We will bring our first EV (E4) to the Indonesian market in June. We are currently in the preparation stage,” said Zheng Shuo, when met by Kompas.com in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (1/4/2026). Nevertheless, Zheng Shuo has not yet revealed further details regarding the specifications or the price of the electric car. Interestingly, Indonesia will be the first country to market the Lepas E4. This allows consumers in the homeland the opportunity to be the first to own the vehicle compared to other countries. In terms of design, the Lepas E4 features a sporty and aggressive appearance. The front is marked by slim main headlights, combined with a large sloping bonnet. The Lepas E4 is positioned as a pure electric vehicle or battery electric vehicle (BEV). However, to date, the manufacturer is still keeping information on technical specifications tightly under wraps, including battery capacity, range, and features that will be included.
