Lenteng Agung Teras Outlet in South Jakarta Fully Occupied by 125 Traders
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta Industrial, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-Department (PPKUKM) states that the Teras LA Assisted Location (Lokbin) area in Lenteng Agung is fully occupied by 125 traders. “All stalls are fully occupied,” said the Head of the South Jakarta Industrial, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-Department (PPKUKM), Djaharuddin, when contacted in Jakarta on Thursday. Djaharuddin explained that all kiosks are now filled and the site is in the early stages of management following the handover from the developer to the government. MSME actors at Teras Lenteng Agung are still exempt from rental fees, as the retribution tariffs are being prepared by the relevant parties. These tariffs are planned to be communicated to the traders after the evaluation process is complete. Most of the traders occupying the area come from the general public. “Mostly general public, yes. Because some traders from Barito have already rented land there, so they did not join the relocation to Teras LA,” he said. The current management is continuously promoting through various activities to liven up the area. The Sentra Fauna or Teras Lenteng Agung is built on a 7,500-square-metre plot. Of this area, approximately 2,000 square metres are allocated for traders previously occupying the Temporary Locations (Loksem) JS 25, JS 26, JS 30, and JS 96. The kiosks in the fauna centre are divided into three main zones: Zone A consisting of 22 culinary kiosks, Zones C and D with 74 kiosks for bird traders and animal feed, and Zone E for parcel and culinary traders with 29 kiosks. Meanwhile, Zone B, intended for an amphitheatre, is still not operational. The South Jakarta Administrative City Government (Pemkot Jaksel) invites civil servants (ASN) to advance micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) at the Sentra Fauna Lenteng Agung or Teras LA.
