Lenteng Agung Road, South Jakarta, heading towards Depok, West Java, was delayed by two hours before being opened on Tuesday (2/6/2026) morning. The road opening was scheduled for 05:00 WIB; however, officials only opened one side of the road by 08:00 WIB.

The Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin, stated that the delay was caused by the need for area sterilisation and the fact that drainage works from the previous day had also run late. Budi offered an apology for the delay.

“We apologise because we were only able to open this road at 08:00 WIB, despite our previous promise of 05:00 AM,” he added. “The concreting on this one side only finished at 02:30 AM yesterday, and the process takes approximately seven to eight hours,” he explained.

The full reopening of both sides of the road is planned for 11:00 WIB. For the time being, motorists are only able to use the right side of the road.
