The Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub) has closed the Lenteng Agung Main Road heading towards Depok, West Java, following a sinkhole, until Tuesday, 2 June 2026 at 05:00 WIB. The closure began at 14:00 WIB today, Monday, 1 June 2026.

“The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has closed the Lenteng Agung Main Road for ongoing repairs,” said Dishub Head Budi Awaludin at the scene on Monday.

The road closure has been communicated to drivers via banners placed at several locations. Two banners were placed on the Depok to Lenteng Agung route, while five others were positioned at strategic points from the opposite direction. Additionally, Dishub has stationed officers at Tapal Kuda and Pancasila University roundabout to guide drivers.

“For members of the public travelling towards Depok at 14:00 WIB, please make a U-turn at Tapal Kuda or Pancasila University and take Jalan Mohammad Kahfi. Heavy trucks and vehicles should use the toll road,” Budi added.

The repair work is currently at the concrete pouring stage tonight. “Yes, concreting and pouring are underway. We assure, insha’Allah, coordination with the Water Resources Department head has been done, and they guarantee the road will be passable by 05:00 in the morning,” Budi said.

Previously, the Lenteng Agung Main Road towards Depok suffered a sinkhole on Thursday, 28 May 2026, around 22:30 WIB. The damage created a three-metre deep and approximately 16-metre long hole. The sinkhole caused a motorcyclist to fall in, who was immediately evacuated by locals.
