JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub) has implemented traffic management measures along Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung in South Jakarta due to road subsidence repairs scheduled from 29 May to 12 June 2026.

Traffic diversions for vehicles travelling from Pasar Minggu to Depok have been established with two main alternative routes during the repair period.

The information was shared by DKI Jakarta Transportation Department via its official Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta.

“Road users are urged to comply with traffic regulations and prioritise road safety,” the department stated.

Additionally, U-turns at the JPL 23 railway crossing or Universitas Pancasila will be temporarily closed during repairs.

Previously, a section of road on the eastern side of Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung, in front of Gang Empang, collapsed on Thursday (28 May 2026) evening, causing disruptions to the main Pasar Minggu-Depok route.

The DKI Jakarta Water Resources Department (SDA) stated that the collapse was caused by an old drainage channel or crossing of the University of Indonesia’s PHB (Connecting Channel) beneath the road.

“It is confirmed that beneath Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung lies a PHB UI crossing in the form of a honk (old channel) approximately 3 metres wide and 6 metres long,” said Head of South Jakarta SDA Santo on Friday (29 May 2026).
