Lenteng Agung Road Collapse Traps Motorcyclist in Hole

Lenteng Agung Road in South Jakarta collapsed, creating a large hole that trapped a motorcyclist. The incident was reported to the fire and rescue service, which promptly responded to the scene. ‘A motorcycle has fallen into a hole in the middle of the road,’ said Asril Rizal, Head of South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-District (Gulkarmat), on Friday (29 May 2026). The report was received at 04:15 WIB. The subsidence hole is located on Lenteng Agung Road, RT 7 RW 2, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta. ‘A resident contacted the Jagakarsa Sector fire and rescue service regarding his motorcycle falling into a road hole. Upon receiving the report, rescue officers immediately proceeded to the scene,’ he added. The fire and rescue service assessed the terrain, planned the evacuation, prepared equipment, and began operations at 04:28 WIB. ‘After several minutes of effort, the motorcycle was successfully evacuated,’ he said. Five fire and rescue personnel and local residents assisted in lifting the motorcycle out of the hole.
