Lenteng Agung Main Road in South Jakarta Collapses, Drivers Urged to Exercise Caution

A section of Lenteng Agung Main Road in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, heading towards Depok, has collapsed significantly in width and depth. Police have urged road users to exercise caution.

“At 05:33, a road collapse occurred on Lenteng Agung Main Road in front of Sate PSK Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Drivers travelling from Jakarta to Depok are advised to exercise caution when passing through,” stated TMC Polda Metro Jaya in their X account on Friday (29 May 2026).

The collapsed section is in the middle lane, with only two of three lanes available for vehicles.

“One lane is unusable, positioned towards the centre, with only two lanes operational,” they added.

Videos and photos shared show the collapsed area is deep and wide. Warning signs have been placed to prevent vehicles from passing through.

A police officer was seen at the scene, inspecting the collapsed road and communicating with local residents.
