The collapsed section of Lenteng Agung Road in South Jakarta is now passable after iron plates were installed over the site. On Friday, 29 May 2026, at 3:24 PM WIB, all three lanes of Lenteng Agung Road towards Depok were reopened, whereas previously only one lane was available.

However, traffic congestion persists in the area as vehicles slow down when passing over the iron-plated section. Police and the Transportation Department (Dishub) are present to manage traffic, along with personnel from PPSU, the Public Works Department, and the Water Resources Department.

“The priority is to allow traffic flow to accommodate those heading towards Depok,” said Kompol Mujiyanto, Head of Traffic Police for South Jakarta Metro Police, at the scene.

Previously, the road had collapsed, creating a large hole that swallowed a motorbike. The incident was reported to the fire department for evacuation assistance, and they promptly responded to the scene.

“The object of evacuation was a motorcycle that had fallen into the middle of the road,” said Asril Rizal, Head of Jakarta South Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat).

The fire department received the report at 4:15 AM WIB. The sinkhole was located on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung, RT 7 RW 2, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta.
