Lenovo has unveiled the ThinkTab X11, a rugged tablet announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, held from 2-5 March. The device stands out for its detachable battery design, allowing the battery to be removed from the chassis, reminiscent of older modular phones, a concept not common in modern tablets. It also supports bypass charging, enabling direct charging to the device without using the battery, though this mode limits mobility.

The ThinkTab X11 carries MIL-STD-810H military certification and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, indicating it can withstand minor shocks and immersion in water up to a metre for about 30 minutes. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, coupled with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The tablet features a 10.95-inch display with 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600), a 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass, though the specific type wasn’t disclosed. The ThinkTab X11 is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with autofocus and an 8 MP front camera for video calls or selfies.

A removable 10,200 mAh battery provides power, as noted above. On the software side, the tablet runs Android 16 with guaranteed updates to Android 18 and security patches for four years. The device is available only in Eclipse Black, with a thickness of 9.93 mm and a weight of 650 g, and it is slated for release in the second half of 2026.

Pricing starts at USD 499, approximately IDR 8.4 million, according to KompasTekno citing Ubergizmo. It is not yet clear whether Lenovo will bring this tablet to Indonesia.
