Lenovo Showcases AI Innovations for Manufacturing and Education Sectors

Lenovo has introduced various artificial intelligence (AI)-based innovations to support digitalisation in the manufacturing and education sectors, integrating devices, infrastructure, software, and business services and solutions into a single ‘One Lenovo Solutions’ ecosystem. ‘One Lenovo Solutions is an integrated ecosystem encompassing devices, AI infrastructure, software, and business services and solutions,’ said Lenovo Indonesia President Director Budi Janto during a presentation at Lenovo Tech Day 2026 in Jakarta on Thursday. According to Budi, AI has now evolved into a crucial foundation for companies to enhance productivity, operational efficiency, and service quality. The ‘One Lenovo Solutions’ ecosystem delivers AI capabilities ranging from devices and edge computing to data centres, enabling companies and institutions to adopt the technology more rapidly and at scale. To address these needs, Lenovo offers a variety of AI solutions, including those for demand forecasting, supply chain management, computer vision-based production quality control, predictive maintenance of production equipment, inventory management, and worker safety systems. Lenovo Indonesia Solutions Consultant Azis Wonosari assessed that AI adoption in the manufacturing sector has entered a more mature phase compared to the previous year. ‘Based on Lenovo’s CIO Playbook research, 93 percent of manufacturing players believe AI investment can yield a positive return on investment,’ Azis stated. Beyond manufacturing, Lenovo also highlighted opportunities for AI utilisation in the education sector, which it considers to be undergoing significant change due to AI developments. The company believes schools and universities are currently facing new challenges, ranging from the need for personalised learning and student data management to data security and the increasing demand for more interactive learning materials. In response to these needs, Lenovo is presenting various AI solutions designed to support teachers, students, and educational institutions. One of the solutions introduced is a Classroom Management System that allows educators to monitor all student devices in real-time through a single centralised dashboard. ‘This means, with this solution, teachers can see which applications students are opening, share materials, send messages, and even lock the screens of all devices when necessary,’ said Imam. Additionally, Lenovo introduced a smart classroom concept supporting hybrid learning through the ThinkSmart Hub video conferencing device. This technology enables students participating in both online and offline learning to connect in a single teaching and learning activity simultaneously.
