Lenovo Showcases AI Innovations for Manufacturing and Education Sectors
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Lenovo has introduced various artificial intelligence (AI) based innovations to support digitalisation in the manufacturing and education sectors, integrating devices, infrastructure, software, and business services into a single ‘One Lenovo Solutions’ ecosystem.
“One Lenovo Solutions is an integrated ecosystem that encompasses devices, AI infrastructure, software, as well as services and business solutions,” said Budi Janto, President Director of Lenovo Indonesia, during a presentation at the Lenovo Tech Day 2024 in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to Budi, AI has now become a vital foundation for companies to increase productivity, operational efficiency, and service quality.
The ‘One Lenovo Solutions’ ecosystem provides AI capabilities ranging from devices and edge computing to data centres, allowing companies and institutions to adopt such technology more rapidly and at scale.
To meet these needs, Lenovo offers various AI solutions, including demand forecasting, supply chain management, production quality control based on computer vision, predictive maintenance for production tools, inventory management, and worker safety systems.
Solutions Consultant at Lenovo Indonesia, Azis Wonoslar, noted that AI adoption in the manufacturing sector has entered a more mature phase compared to previous years.
“Based on the Lenovo CIO Playbook research, 93 per cent of manufacturing players are confident that AI investment can provide a positive return on investment,” said Azis.
In addition to manufacturing, Lenovo also highlighted the opportunities for AI utilisation in the education sector, which is currently undergoing significant changes due to AI advancements.
The company believes that schools and universities are facing new challenges, ranging from the need for personalised learning and student data management to data security and the increasing demand for more interactive learning materials.
In response to these needs, Lenovo has presented various AI solutions aimed at supporting teachers, students, and educational institutions.
One of the solutions introduced is the Classroom Management System, which allows educators to monitor all student devices in real-time through a single centralised dashboard.
“This means that with this solution, teachers can see which applications students are using, share materials, send messages, and even lock all device screens when necessary,” said Imam.
Furthermore, Lenovo also introduced the concept of smart classrooms that support hybrid learning through the ThinkSmart Hub video conferencing device.
This technology enables students participating both online and offline to be connected in a single teaching and learning activity simultaneously.
