Lemhannas trains 25 regional heads to strengthen leadership
The National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) is educating 25 regional heads from across Indonesia to strengthen their leadership and national insight. The programme, the Regional Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD) Batch III, runs from 15 to 28 July 2026 and is a collaboration between Lemhannas, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), and the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC).
Lemhannas Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily stated that the activity aims to strengthen the leadership capacity of regional governments so that they possess national insight, a patriotic attitude, and work earnestly to develop their regions with strong and resilient leadership.
After completing the coursework at Lemhannas, the regional heads are scheduled to undertake a working visit to the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore to deepen their understanding of governance and public service.
The programme will conclude with the participants presenting their learning outcomes over two days at the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The 25 participants in KPPD Batch III include the regents of Sinjai, Banjarnegara, West Kotawaringin, Intan Jaya, Mimika, Central Maluku, Tanimbar Islands, Central Halmahera, Morotai Island, Lembata, East Flores, West Sumbawa, Central Hulu Sungai, Sukamara, Aceh Besar, Seluma, Polewali Mandar, Muaro Jambi, Kerinci, Lebak, and West Tulang Bawang, as well as the mayors of Lhokseumawe and Pangkalpinang.
