Lemhannas to Strengthen Multilateral Cooperation and National Resilience

The National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) will hold the 10th Jakarta Geopolitical Forum in 2026, discussing the latest developments in world geopolitical issues. The event will be attended by stakeholders, geopolitical experts, academics, diplomats, and government representatives.

Lemhannas Governor TB Ace Hasan Syadzily stated that the institution, founded by President Soekarno, has a mandate to discuss geopolitical issues that will affect national resilience. He noted that ongoing global geopolitical turmoil will impact the world, including Indonesia, through issues such as interstate conflict, trade wars, and climate change, making the forum relevant in efforts to maintain the nation’s durability in facing these uncertainties.

The Jakarta Geopolitical Forum 2026 carries the theme ‘Strengthening Multilateralism’ to discuss efforts to reinforce multilateral cooperation amid the global situation. The forum is expected to encourage policymakers to ensure that strengthening multilateral cooperation, particularly in the region, can drive anticipatory and responsive measures in facing global challenges.
