Lemhannas Governor Tubagus Ace Hasan Syadzili stated that Indonesia’s economy is currently robust. He urged the public to remain confident and optimistic about the country’s future during the 27th National P3N Seminar 2026, held at Lemhannas’ Dwi Warna Hall in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (26 May 2026).

“Ladies and gentlemen, the keynote speech earlier was delivered by Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo on monetary policy. This was followed by a second keynote from LPS Chief Professor Anggito Abimanyu, who expressed optimism about the current economic situation,” Ace said during a press conference at Lemhannas’ Dwi Warna Hall in Central Jakarta on Tuesday.

He noted that despite challenges, Indonesia’s economic foundations remain strong enough to withstand issues. Ace acknowledged that the closure of the Hormuz Strait by Iran and ongoing tensions in the Gulf region are affecting Indonesia’s economy.

“This is not just felt by Indonesia but by much of the world, disrupting oil trade logistics and causing price increases,” Ace said, accompanied by Lemhannas Vice Governor Rear Admiral Erwin S Aldedharma.

However, he added, the government has swiftly responded to these economic challenges by securing gas and oil supplies, ensuring that stock remains available at affordable prices for the public.

“The government has implemented strategic measures to avoid burdening citizens, including maintaining subsidized fuel prices. While non-subsidised fuel follows market mechanisms, the government’s priority is ensuring supply and availability of fuel, particularly for public needs,” Ace said.

He also commended the government for keeping subsidized fuel prices stable, which not only protects purchasing power but also supports economic growth targets exceeding 5%.

“The government is committed to not raising subsidized fuel prices, and the availability of LPG and household essentials is assured to minimise the impact on citizens,” Ace explained.
