Lemhannas Sends 25 Regional Heads to Singapore for Public Service Training

Jakarta (ANTARA) — Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) Ace Hasan Syadzily said that 25 regional heads currently undergoing education at the institute are scheduled to visit Singapore to study public services.

“They will go to the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore to be given various knowledge, especially on public services, for example education services, healthcare services, and waste management,” said Ace when met at the Lemhannas office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.

Ace explained that the activity is part of the Regional Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD) Batch III programme, to be held from 15–28 July 2026.

According to Ace, the visit is necessary so that the regional heads can learn good governance in order to improve the quality of services provided to the public.

In addition to studying waste management, the regional heads will also learn about digital-based service systems to facilitate better services for the public.

However, before departing for Singapore, the 25 regional heads will first undergo around one week of education at Lemhannas starting today.

During their time at Lemhannas, the regional heads will be equipped with materials emphasising national values, integrity, and leadership.

Only after one week at Lemhannas will they depart for Singapore to continue their education.

According to Ace, the series of educational activities will conclude with a two-day presentation of learning outcomes at the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He hopes the KPPD Batch III programme will produce regional heads with integrity, a strong leadership spirit, and the ability to bring progress to their regions while improving public welfare.

KPPD Batch III is attended by 25 regional heads, consisting of 23 regents and two mayors from various provinces.

The participants include the Regents of Sinjai, Banjarnegara, Kotawaringin Barat, Biak Numfor, Manokwari, Intan Jaya, Mimika, Maluku Tengah, Kepulauan Tanimbar, Halmahera Tengah, Pulau Morotai, and Lembata.

In addition, the Regents of Flores Timur, Sumbawa Barat, Hulu Sungai Tengah, Sukamara, Aceh Besar, Seluma, Polewali Mandar, Muaro Jambi, Kerinci, Lebak, Tulang Bawang Barat, as well as the Mayors of Lhokseumawe and Pangkalpinang.
