Lemhannas Involves KPK to Brief Regional Leaders on Anti-Corruption

The National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) has enlisted the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to provide anti-corruption training to 25 regional heads participating in the third cohort of the Regional Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD).

Lemhannas Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily said the material from the KPK will be delivered as part of a series of educational activities running from 15 to 28 July 2026.

“Tomorrow, the KPK will deliver material on how regional leadership must uphold integrity and anti-corruption education. The KPK will be one of the presenters,” said Ace following the opening of the third KPPD cohort at the Lemhannas office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to Ace, the anti-corruption briefing is important to strengthen the integrity of regional heads so that they prioritise service to the public and prevent corrupt practices in governance.

Ace explained that the learning activities at Lemhannas will run for about a week before participants continue with a working visit to the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore.

The visit aims to deepen understanding of governance and public service delivery.

Afterwards, the educational series will conclude with a two-day presentation of learning outcomes at the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The third KPPD cohort comprises 25 regional heads, consisting of 23 regents and two mayors from various regions across Indonesia.

The participants include the Regents of Sinjai, Banjarnegara, Kotawaringin Barat, Biak Numfor, Manokwari, Intan Jaya, Mimika, Maluku Tengah, Kepulauan Tanimbar, Halmahera Tengah, Pulau Morotai and Lembata.

They are joined by the Regents of Flores Timur, Sumbawa Barat, Hulu Sungai Tengah, Sukamara, Aceh Besar, Seluma, Polewali Mandar, Muaro Jambi, Kerinci, Lebak and Tulang Bawang Barat, as well as the Mayors of Lhokseumawe and Pangkalpinang.
