Lemhannas Governor Supports Withdrawal of TNI Troops from Lebanon
The Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas), Tubagus Ace Hasan Sadzily, supports the government’s move to withdraw TNI troops participating in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This comes after three TNI personnel were killed in an Israeli attack. He also urges an on-site investigation to be conducted.
The Indonesian government’s stance is very clear: the Republic of Indonesia has requested the UN Security Council to investigate the incident involving the three fallen soldiers serving as peacekeeping forces in Lebanon,” said Ace during the 11th West Java Golkar Party Congress at Hotel Trans, Bandung, on Thursday (2 April 2026).
According to Ace, an investigation is essential to thoroughly probe the matter and determine who carried out the attack. He stated that the security of peacekeeping forces must be protected.
“I believe the government’s step to demand discussion and withdrawal of the peacekeeping forces is a very appropriate measure to ensure security in conflict areas,” he said.
