Lemhannas: DPRD Chair Retreat Expected to Align Central and Regional Policies
Magelang (ANTARA) - Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) Ace Hasan Syadzily hopes that the organisation of the Leadership Enhancement Course Retreat for Chairs of Provincial, Regency, and City DPRDs throughout Indonesia will be able to align central and regional government policies as a unified entity within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
“Regional policies are expected to remain in line with the direction of central policies without neglecting the needs of communities in each respective area,” said Ace Hasan Syadzily after the closing of the Leadership Enhancement Course for DPRD Chairs at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, on Sunday.
The Leadership Enhancement Course for Chairs of Provincial, Regency, and City DPRDs throughout Indonesia was officially closed today.
The event, which began with the welcoming of participants on 15 April 2026, proceeded smoothly, orderly, and in accordance with expectations.
Ace Hasan expressed gratitude for the smooth running of the entire series of activities. The participants followed all the processes well and enthusiastically until the end of the event.
This course produced various strategic understandings for the regional leaders, including the reinforcement of national values, reminders of the history of the Indonesian nation’s struggle, and comprehensive understanding of global political dynamics.
He stated that one of the important sessions in this event was a special presentation from President Prabowo Subianto regarding recent developments and strategic central government policies.
The strengthening of regional leaders’ integrity was also a focus of this course, including direct briefing from KPK Chairman Setya Budiyanto.
Meanwhile, aspects of law enforcement in supporting the national development agenda were also conveyed by the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief.
Ace Hasan noted that the role of DPRD chairs is very strategic as decision-makers in the regions. Therefore, the participants are expected to be able to implement the various materials obtained to support the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision through national development strategies.
In addition, he also added the importance of maintaining unity amid the diversity of regional backgrounds, ethnicities, or political parties, for the sake of the nation and state.
Of the total 577 invitations, 530 participants attended this event. The absence of some participants was due to health factors or other duties that could not be left.
The Lemhannas Governor hopes that participants who did not have the opportunity to attend can join similar programmes in the future.
The presence of the President at this event is also seen as providing new energy and enthusiasm for DPRD leaders throughout Indonesia, demonstrating high enthusiasm and readiness to implement the course outcomes in their respective regions.
