Lemhannas Deputy Governor Receives Honorary Doctorate in Maritime Affairs from Unsrat

Manado (ANTARA) - The Deputy Governor of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI), Vice Admiral Erwin S. Aldedharma, SE, MM, M.Sc, has received an honorary doctorate (HC) in maritime affairs from Sam Ratulangi University in Manado, North Sulawesi. The award was conferred in recognition of Vice Admiral Erwin S. Aldedharma’s dedication and contributions to national maritime development, strategic leadership, and the strengthening of national insight, stated the Head of Public Relations for the VIII Naval Regional Command, Colonel (Navy) Rudi Tandirerung, in Manado on Friday. His previous appointments include Commander of the First Fleet Command, Commander of the First Joint Defence Area Command, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, and currently Deputy Governor of Lemhannas RI. His contributions to the maritime sector are reflected in his leadership of naval operations, development of naval forces, maritime diplomacy, and strengthening of organisational governance. The spokesperson noted that these various services have had a positive impact on the advancement of the national maritime sector and the development of national insight. The event, led by Unsrat Rector Prof Dr Oktovian Berty Alexander Sompie, M.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng, served as a moment to honour Vice Admiral Erwin S. Aldedharma’s dedication and service to the nation and state through the maritime field. The ceremony commenced with the procession of the Unsrat Senate, followed by the Senate Secretary’s report, the opening of the session, the reading of the decree, the Rector’s introductory speech, the reading of the promovendus’s biodata, and the scientific oration by Vice Admiral Erwin S. Aldedharma. The pinnacle of the procession was marked by the conferral of the honorary doctorate by the Unsrat Rector, the donning of the honorary academic gown, the presentation of the certificate, the handover of the decree, and concluded with a prayer and the closing of the Open Senate Session.
