Lemhanas RI Alumni Expected to Provide Strategic Thinking for Nation
Amidst increasingly complex global dynamics and challenging world conditions, alumni of the Lemhanas RI (National Defence Institute) are expected to make tangible contributions to the nation and state.
This was conveyed during the inauguration of the Board of Directors of the IKAL Alumni Association of the P3N XXV Programme on Leadership Consolidation (P3N) at Lemhanas RI, held at the Pearl Auditorium of the High School of Police Sciences (PTIK), Jakarta. The Board was inaugurated and led by Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, who serves as General Chair.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Telisa Aulia Falianty, Head of Strategic Studies and Public Discussion Division at the IKAL P3N Board of Lemhanas RI, emphasised the importance of alumni in providing strategic thinking to the nation, state, and society to maintain national resilience.
She stated that Lemhanas alumni are expected to provide recommendations to policymakers regarding various national strategic issues.
“Such recommendations will be based on in-depth studies and public discussions to produce objective, evidence-based analysis that reflects actual conditions in the field,” Prof. Dr. Telisa said in a statement on Thursday (12 March 2026).
Lemhanas alumni, who represent leaders from various sectors and high-level state institutions, are also expected to make tangible contributions in addressing various national challenges, both originating from abroad and from within the country.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Laksana, Head of the Organisation Division of the IKAL P3N XXV Board at Lemhanas RI, emphasised the importance of the spirit of unity in strengthening the nation.
“Lemhanas alumni must be able to drive the realisation of a stronger and more unified Indonesia. Therefore, our work programmes are directed towards increasing unity and cohesion,” he said.
Similar sentiments were expressed by Rear Admiral Amrin Rosihan Hendrotomo, Head of the Publication and Media Division of the IKAL P3N XXV Board of Lemhanas RI, who hoped that IKAL Lemhanas would not merely become an organisational ceremony. He emphasised that this momentum must mark the beginning of a shared commitment among alumni to collaborate and work synergistically in serving the nation’s advancement.
“The IKAL P3N XXV Board is not merely a gathering place for reminiscence. Rather, the leadership must bridge and harmonise all inspirations, innovations, and positive work of alumni to participate, collaborate, and work synergistically with various state components and all levels of society to jointly build the beloved Indonesian state,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hj. Kartini, Head of the Social and Community Division of the IKAL P3N XXV Board at Lemhanas RI, affirmed that Lemhanas alumni play an important role in strengthening social cohesion within society.
According to her, there are several important matters that should be the focus of alumni. First, to strengthen social capital by not adopting an exclusive stance within their own circles, but actively building extensive networks and relationships in society.
“Secondly, to serve as a catalyst for national unity amidst various existing differences. Thirdly, to encourage inter-institutional synergy to strengthen cooperation in addressing various national challenges,” she said.
With these various roles, Lemhanas P3N XXV alumni are expected to serve as drivers of strategic thinking and cross-sectoral collaboration to maintain national resilience and promote Indonesia’s progress amid increasingly challenging global dynamics.
