Lembah Anai Implements One-Way System, Here is the Schedule

West Sumatra, Kompas.com - A one-way (satu arah) system will be implemented in the Lembah Anai area, West Sumatra, for five days during the 2026 Eid period, namely from H-2 Eid 2026 to H-1 and H+1 to H+3 Eid, to support smooth traffic flow.

According to the provisions, this traffic engineering will be applied on 19 March 2026–20 March 2026 and 22 March 2026–24 March 2026 with time-based arrangements.

This implementation is part of the functional operation of the Lembah Anai route, which will be open during the H-10 Eid 2026 to H+10 Eid 2026 period with 24-hour operations, as stipulated by a decree from the Governor of West Sumatra.

The route is designated for light four-wheeled vehicles (R4) and motorcycles (R2).

PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) has previously carried out several handling measures on the flood-affected Lembah Anai route, with progress reaching 42.87 percent by the end of February.

With this achievement, the route can be functionalised to support community mobility during the Eid mudik and return flows.

“In order to support the Eid functionality, we are accelerating works related to the road body so that by H-10 Eid, the equipment used can be removed from the work site and placed in the designated location,” said HKI Operations Director III Aditya Novendra Jaya on Thursday (19/3/2026).

In addition, slope handling at KM 63+500 using the shotcrete method has reached 75 percent progress as part of efforts to strengthen the slope structure.

To support smoothness during the Eid period, HKI is accelerating works related to the road body.

Construction equipment has also been prepared to be removed from the site before H-10 Eid 2026 to ensure the route can be used optimally.

Moreover, on-duty teams and heavy equipment are on standby to anticipate emergency conditions, such as potential landslides, so that handling can be carried out quickly and the route remains functional.
