Legislator reminds importance of social solidarity during Ramadan

Jakarta — A member of Commission B of the Jakarta Regional Legislative Assembly (DPRD), Jupiter, has reminded the importance of strengthening care and social solidarity within society, particularly during the Islamic month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

In relation to this matter, he, together with Bank Dana Niaga Peduli, distributed financial assistance to 1,000 blind persons with disabilities from the Jabodetabek region (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerine and Bekasi) at Pondok Indah Grand Mosque on Sunday.

“Through this activity, it is hoped that the spirit of sharing and social care within society will continue to grow, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan,” said Jupiter.

He stressed that social activities such as this will continue to be carried out as a form of commitment to support and provide benefits to the wider community.

He expressed hope that the assistance provided could ease the needs of the recipients heading towards Eid al-Fitr 2026.

The activity was attended by blind persons with disabilities from various regions in the Jabodetabek area.

He also hoped that the assistance could be beneficial for persons with disabilities in welcoming Eid al-Fitr. “May this assistance provide benefit and add to the spirit in welcoming Eid al-Fitr,” he said.
